Students who are younger get to cheer on there peers. This is a fun way to get students to read.

Fab Families

Fab Families is a time where multi aged students get placed in a group that they call their family. Every teacher gets a group and they get to pick the color of their shirts. This takes place on Friday once a month. Students love this time because they get to bond with younger and older students.

Bingo Nights

Once a year the Inman Elementary puts on a Bingo night for all the students. Students enjoy this night so much because they get to hang out with their friends, play games, and win prizes. They start off the evening with a few snacks and socializing. Then they start with playing some bingo and winning some prizes. This is a great way for students and families to bond.

Tech Time

Once a week students at IES get to spend 45 minutes with our Tech teacher. They like to call this Tech Time. During Tech Time students get to make, create, dream, and achieve. The teacher guides the students through lessons to help them dream. Students also at this time get to work on their iPads. Students love this time because it is fun and enjoyable.

End of Year Celebration

Each year the students and teachers get to celebrate the end of the year by either taking a trip or celebrating at the school with fun activities. In the past the students get to decide what they do. This is a very fun time for everyone as they get to celebrate the school year.

SPIRIT WEEKS

Spirit Weeks are Students Favorite. We have many spirit weeks that are meaningful like Red Ribbon Week which is to stay drug free. Whenever we have spirit weeks students love to add skits into the fun.

Pool Party

Pool Party takes place at the begining of the school year and is a time that all the kids get to meet at a public pool and spend the evening swimming and eating food. The PTO also includes some silent auctions full of baskets of goodies. This is always a fun time to bond with other grade levels.

Maker Space

One of the teachers at the school opens her classroom after school once a week for students 3rd-6th grade can come in and create things in her classroom. She recently bought a 3D printer so students have been creating with that. Teachers have also been starting to add this to their weekly schedule.

AR Runaround

AR is a fun way to get students to read. AR is where a student from 2nd-6th grade takes a test on a picture or chapter book. To pass this test a student must get an 80% or more. Not all books are worth the same amount of points. When a student gets a certain amount of points they get rewarded with a prize. For each point club there is a different prize. At the end of each month there is an event called the AR runaround. If a student gets to one of the certain point clubs they get to run around the school and high five all of the other students hands.

Library

Library is a certain time period where a class goes to the Library and the Librarian reads a book to the class. Then the students go and check out books. The most books they can check out is 3. If a student doesn't return a book on time at their next Library time they can't check out 3 books.
